Dr. Jeremy Shaw recognized at CSRS 2023

The 51st Annual Meeting of the Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS) was held late November in Las Vegas. This meeting brings together leading orthopaedic and neurosurgical physicians, residents and fellows to promote high-quality research, discussion and more.

Dr. Jeremy Shaw received a Seed Starter research grant for his project "In Vivo Changes in Disc Stress and Stiffness After One- and Two-Level Cervical Arthrodesis". This award provides grants for those conducting promising research for young investigators. Dr. Shaw also served on the 2023 Annual Meeting Abstract Review Committee.

Drs. Joshua Adjei and Jonathan Dalton also received travel scholarships from CSRS to attend the meetings in Las Vegas this year.

Dr. Joon Lee shared, "It was so great to see everyone at the 51st Cervical Spine Research Society Meeting in Las Vegas. Great to see my mentors Dr. Kang, Dr. Donaldson and all the former fellows and residents who are now my respected colleagues. Power of legacy in education and mentorship!"

Fostering the next generation of orthopaedic physicians is something we take seriously at Pitt. We are proud of the steps our physicians like Dr. Shaw take to nurture the future orthopaedics. Congratulations to all!
